SessionKeep Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2026 · Publisher: Johnny

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SessionKeep Chrome extension (“the Extension”) and the marketing website at https://getsessionkeep.com (“the Site”). By installing or using the Extension, or by using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension or the Site.

Who we are

SessionKeep is published by Johnny. The Extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store (listing version referenced for this Site: v0.1.2, updated November 1, 2026).

What SessionKeep is

SessionKeep is a local, zero-account Chrome extension for saving and restoring browser tab sessions on your device. You can save open tabs as named sessions, restore a session in a new window, manage your list in the popup, and export or import a JSON backup you control. Session data for this local workflow is stored in IndexedDB in your Chrome profile on this device. The Extension does not require a SessionKeep account for save, restore, export, or import, and we do not operate a SessionKeep cloud sync server for that workflow.

Eligibility and Chrome Web Store rules

You must comply with Google’s Chrome Web Store terms and policies when installing or using the Extension. You are responsible for how you use saved URLs and exported JSON files on your own devices.

Free use and planned paid unlock

The Extension currently offers a free tier of about 5 sessions. A one-time buyout priced at $12 USD is planned for unlocking beyond that limit. Checkout is not live. The Site may show “Buy for $12 — coming soon” (or equivalent wording) so you know the intended price; that wording is not a working payment form, license-key store, or live billing integration. When purchase opens later, additional purchase terms from the payment processor or Merchant of Record may apply.

No accounts on the Site

The Site is informational and static. It does not provide user accounts, cloud backup of your sessions, live payments, or license activation. Support is handled by email.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent the Extension as a cloud sync, account-based, or analytics product;
  • Attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Extension or Site beyond ordinary personal use and backup of your own session data;
  • Use the Extension in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Privacy

Our handling of local session data and related topics is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your session data. Local session data is not uploaded by the Extension for the free local workflow.

Intellectual property

SessionKeep name, branding, and the Site’s content are owned by the publisher unless otherwise noted. The Extension’s listing materials on the Chrome Web Store remain subject to that store’s rules. Your exported JSON backups remain your files.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Extension and the Site are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that saved sessions will never be lost due to browser profile resets, device failure, extension removal, Chrome updates, or user action. Exporting a JSON backup is recommended if you need a copy you control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Johnny and SessionKeep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Extension or the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Extension or the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for SessionKeep in the twelve months before the claim (if any paid purchase has opened and you completed it) or (b) zero if you used only the free tier and no payment was collected.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted on the Site. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
